Rosewood Preserve, Rosewood, Florida, is part of the Wildlands Conservation Land Trust. The products covering the 223 acres of the preserve ensures the Avoided Emissions status of the preserve by verifying No-New-Loss of the canopy, or anthropogenic disturbance, on an annual basis.

Phase I of this project does not involve direct in-situ CO2 measurements, accordingly, this product ensures that the areas conserved will be not be converted, on an area basis, to any commercial retail operation as specified by the product categories. These are community-based products that draw stakeholders closer together in efforts to address climate change on local-to-global scales.

Verification occurs on an annual basis consisting of either a field site or high-resolution imagery analysis. 

Product Categories

1) Biodiversity: This product ensures that biodiversity is protected and as feasible, enhanced, across the project site. A limited number of biodiversity units are available each year.

2) Retail Small Business Operations: This product preserves the Avoided Emissions status of the preserve by verifying No-New-Loss of the canopy on an annual basis. Phase I of this project does not involve direct in-situ CO2 measurements, accordingly, this product ensures that the area conserved will be not be converted to any retail small business operation. 

3) Industrial Operations: This product preserves the Avoided Emissions status of the preserve by verifying No-New-Loss of the canopy on an annual basis. Phase I of this project does not involve direct in-situ CO2 measurements, accordingly, this product ensures that the area conserved will be not be converted to any type of industry operation including any non-profit purpose or for any individual purpose. 

4) Fossil Fuel Producing Operations: This product preserves the Avoided Emissions status of the preserve by verifying No-New-Loss of the canopy on an annual basis. Phase I of this project does not involve direct in-situ CO2 measurements, accordingly, this product ensures that the area conserved will be not be converted or used for any operations that generate fossil fuel emissions.
